The 2-story home, often of the Traditional, European or Victorian styling utilizes the space above the main level. The two-story home plan may have all bedrooms located on the second-level, but it is not uncommon to find the Master Bedroom located on the main level, with the remaining bedrooms to be located on the second-story. The two-story home allows for spectacular soaring ceiling heights and vaulted ceilings and large entry and foyer areas with grand staircases. Living areas can be gained on the second level that there is often not space for on the lower levels, such as private reading nooks or full libraries, with loft areas or balconies that overlook rooms below.
